| Maybe I need additional caffeine. I am not following the reasoning behind the lawsuit. The NY Post reported that for this production either a vaccination or a negative test would be required to perform. It was later changed to a vaccination is required. Period. Ms Osnes graciously will be tested but refuses the vaccination. Thus she and production had a parting of the ways. I'm just not understanding what the NY Post (a tabloid of which I have no affection) intentionally and maliciously wrote about Ms Osnes that has caused her irreparable harm. First I'll admit that I don't understand how individuals believe their personal rights trump the right of society to maintain a healthy society to the best of its knowledge. I don't understand how the practicing of healthy, non elective medicine is a hot button political issue. At this juncture, I would appreciate it if people didn't jump on this political band wagon from any direction. I will state out flatly that that my experience of Laura Osnes on stage has always been stellar, I am disappointed she is unwilling to comply with health department recommendations to keep her co-workers safe. I've used this, probably flawed analogy in the past: If Me Osnes would like to smoke three packs of cigarettes a day she is more than welcome to do so. At home (if her building does not have a no smoking policy) or in places designated for smoking. She is not welcome to smoke in her shared dressing rooms, thus endangering the health of her co workers. Otherwise? There are a lot of pretty beautifully sounding sopranos arriving in the city every day. |
