I haven't seen it since it first aired but I remember feeling very let down. I don't remember if she holds the audience hostage....but I remember that Diane Keaton was surprisingly wrong for the role....she didn't seem to understand the subtlety of the humor and instead played Sister Mary with anger and dizzying frustration. I love the play and have seen several productions of it, and it all stands or falls on who is playing the title role.
