Saw the matinee yesterday and Sarah Goeke appeared as Desiree in the opening number/dance sequence. Perhaps Ms Skinner did not want to take a chance on re-injuring herself. My heart did sink a little but fortunately she appeared in all her Desiree glory for the remainder of the show and did not disappoint.
