| I saw Jesse Greene, interviewed by Ted Chapin, on a panel at BroadwayCon to promote SHY. Jesse mentioned that none of the children knew about the beating until they read the galleys of the book! She had protected them completely from that. And to the point above, and having read the book, it also makes me think that perhaps Mary never discussed it with her parents, either. |
