I won't get to catch Emily Skinner as Desiree, but I did see her play Charlotte in A.C.T.'s 2015 revival of ''A Little Night Music'' in San Francisco.
She nearly stole the show from a talented cast that included Karen Ziemba (as Desiree), Patrick Cassidy, Paolo Montalban and Dana Ivey.
Charlotte is such a juicy part. She gets to toss off wry wisecracks and breaks your heart with ''Every Day a Little Death.''
I wish I could've seen Tony winner Patricia Elliott as Charlotte, but I loved Maureen Moore at N.Y. City Opera and Diana Rigg in the 1977 movie.
