| I went into Strange Loop knowing almost nothing about Tyler Perry. My take on it (that I experienced from watching the play, but hadn't occurred to me listening to the album), Tyler Perry, along with Disney, and Inner White Girls... are all the external obstacles that get in the way of Usher achieving his goals. It isn't to vilify Perry, but just an example of something haunting the character. |
