| It was surprising for the reasons you express. My only caveat is that I wouldn't suggest that a person must accept a show on the terms on which it is presented. (Sometimes, both of us have rejected the premise of some shows and/or have criticized the effect of what the writer has proposed.) And of course sometimes shows employ "vehicles" that we simply don't want to ride in. |
