I liked FAT HAM, particularly the way the Ghost gave me a new perspective on HAMLET.

But when the plot lines started to resolve it felt naïve and sentimental, as if our problems disappear with "to thine own self be true" - in itself a narcissistic variation on the similarly naïve "all you need is love."

A STRANGE LOOP, whatever one may feel about its craft, refuses such easy answers. (I'm an admirer.)
