For us, it’s still Covid. Too many medical issues, including immune-compromised family, to make us feel comfortable. Hoping for better days, as I’m longing to see THE SECRET GARDEN at the Ahmanson next year; have never seen a full stage production.

Was thinking of going to Orlando to see Ben Platt. Huge Amway Arena and two rear floor seats are over $300. Outrageous. I'll watch his Radio City Music Hall show on Netflix again to get my Ben fix.

$300? For BEN PLATT? I got much better Springsteen (2021) and Streisand (2019) tickets for less. Guess those acrylic nails and fake hair are expensive.

If you're still in the area of really wanting to see something but don't want to pay a lot (and it wouldn't pain you too much if you missed it), try looking the day of, or the day(s) before. I got relatively inexpensive side seats for both much higher profile headliners Barbra Streisand and Paul McCartney shows on-line for their Brooklyn shows some years ago.

Yup, in NYC too, CoVid fears are still my main reason. Here we have plenty of rush ticket options, but have the lottery of life place me next to/in front of unmasked people? NO WAY.

I'd say that predicting future mask guidelines policies at present are akin to predicting whether the Dow Jones and S&P will go up or down at any particular time. That could change in the case of covid/masking if scientific advances in vaccines continue to improve and numbers of infections continue to decline. As for the financial markets, greed and fear don't ever go away.

I saw less theater when masks were required because I found it unpleasant to wear a mask during a show. Now that masks aren’t required, I see less shows because I’m afraid I’ll catch COVID.
