Perhaps the prices are too high. Also, tourists to NYC are willing to pay high prices, often for pretty crappy shows (That are gift wrapped with amazing sets and performances). If you’re living in SF, I doubt you’d be rushing off to see the shit Bway is producing now—Moulin Rouge being an example of such shit.
