You are mostly asking correctly but the answer is we (or at least I) can't answer most of the questions you have without knowing how the tour was structured. There are a number of possible arrangements. (Perhaps someone here knows more specifics and can chime in.) What we do know is that this does not mean the original investors (whether or not they are identical to the tour investors) have realized a profit. They may have seen some revenue from the tour but at tour recoupment there is no "profit" in the tour and even if there were a considerable tour profit, from what I gather about the Broadway production (and again you or someone else may know more or might be less lazy than I am and look it up), even a profit from the tour (meaning positive cash flow after the tour recoupment) would not likely get close to the amount remaining to reach the Broadway production's recoupment. Could such a day be reached? In theory, yes. I would not hold my breath.
