| Sure but it also, in many ways, has absolutely nothing to do with what he wants... I doubt Jim Broadbent could get headlines or buzz or media attention if he wanted to. He is not "hot" or "young" or buzzworthy for anything except consistently excellent work in films, many (or nearly most) of them being films that do not get much "buzz" either despite being excellent, acclaimed or loved. There's very little demand for interviews or photoshoots or red carpet moments or gossip or quotes or statements about current events or anything like that from Broadbent. He's had an absolutely amazing career that any character actor would dream of... but I don't think he stays out of the press because he has chosen to, I think the press has chosen it for him even if he agrees! |
