| To the generous and well-informed hive-mind that comprises this site: Could anyone tell me if there is a particular source I can access that provides the final financial status of past Broadway productions? I teach a class that briefly touches upon Broadway finance and would like to tell my students what level of return some of their favorite shows accomplished in their original runs. Occasionally, I stumble upon info which has been quite eye-opening for them in the past. I am looking for a site or source where you can find out whether a show recouped or, if it did not, what percentage was actually returned to the investors. Also if there is a source for current shows and what percent has been recouped to date? Any leads are greatly appreciated. |

| At the end of each season, Variety used to have a chart that showed: Shows that made a profit (closed or still running) Shows that lost their money (closed) Status undetermined (still running) Not-for-profit shows But not any more, I think. |

| Each show is usually a separate entity and reporting such info is only required by the IRS. It’s basically find what has been published over the years. You can email me for more info. | |
