| Watching the filmed production of Will Rogers Follies on YouTube got me to wondering about Tommy Tune. Is he living in New York and does anyone still see him out and about? |

| Tommy Tune is on the Playbill Cruise through the Mediterranean this upcoming week alongside Audra McDonald, Will Swenson, Gavin Creel, John McDaniel, and others. I don’t know if he’s performing a full show or just speaking. | |

| Tommy is an “ambassador “ on the cruise. He will be interviewed and also mingle with the guests throughout the cruise. And maybe he’ll perform a song or two. I’ve done a couple of Playbill cruises with him and it’s a remarkable experience. I’m so sorry to be missing this one. |

| A performer told me last week he's in the Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. He's 83.5 years old. | |

| Last I saw him onstage was Lady Be Good in 2015 at Encores. Not long after that, I saw him at the bar at Sardi’s. He’s been connected to workshops of new musicals now amc then, one of them about Studio 54. He also directed a new musical starring Jeff Daniels and Rachel York in Chicago in … 2010? | |

| Oh wow, TURN OF THE CENTURY! Haven't thought of that show since I saw it (2008). What I remember is a one-trick show--What if you could go back in time and pretend to 'write' all the greatest songs of the 20th Century?--that didn't go anywhere. All I remember is Rachel York coming up from the floor in a Merrick Red Dress--complete with headdress!--singing Alexander's Ragtime Band that made me think she'd be a great Dolly Levi. Looks like did play it the following year, 2009, in summer stock. Would love to get the chance to see her do it again! | |

| In 2018 Tommy performed (with Chita Rivera) in the one-night-only 100th Anniversary Gala at The Muny in St Louis. They sang and danced "Rosie" from Bye Bye Birdie. For a look at the number, start at 3:55 in the YouTube video below. The rest of the video's 8 minute sampling of that gala performance is also rather wonderful.
