Broadway producer/general manager Gary Grunas and recording executive/playwright Billy Rosenfield were filmed by Playbill as "Old Show Queens." The online series featured their memories of show biz lore and Broadway celebrity encounters.
In episode 10 starting at around the 3:30 mark, they go into detail about their involvement with the long-delayed "Grand Hotel" Broadway cast album. All the holdups over authorship and song rights meant that leading man David Carroll was tragically unable to record his Tony Award-nominated performance as the Baron.
