All true, but… the text absolutely states that Milky White is female, and a male actor implies the opposite. OP is right, it should be a female-identifying actor. Obviously, I blame Chad Kimball for this, lol, but really, this is another of the many things that Lapine got wrong in his misguided Broadway revival.
