| Animals are treated better. Gosh, we sure have reached peak hyperbole early in the theatrical season. |

| Maybe that is what it takes to get people to realize we are just fodder for a poorly run organization. | |

| your hyperbole is backfiring. If you have been a member for many years (and one would think you would use the correct term but whatever) then you have presumably benefited from the arrangement. If that is no longer the case, and you do not want to support LCT as a charity you consider worthy, then the solution is self-executing. You act like LCT has adopted you as its dependent. It hasn't. You also act like they took your first born in exchange for your membership. They haven't. What you have written reeks of self-entitlement and that's not a good look. Some others will drop out as you say you will, others will join, and of course a lot of people will continue as before and remain members. Do you really think anyone is going to "realize" anything from your hissy fit? |

| What I realize is nothing but reality. When I entrust an organization with my money, donation, subscription, membership, whatever you want to call it, I expect a modicum of respect in return. LCT does not care about us. And they proved this in the most real way by giving us nasty seats to choose for this production. I feel this is unacceptable. You have your opinion and you can enjoy that. | |

| If, as you say, you want to speak in "nothing but reality," let me ask you to explain that reality, as you envision it. In other words, tethered to that reality, lay out what you see as the respectful thing you would have had them do? Then, perhaps, we can assess the strength of that tether. | |

| Second row mezz is a nasty seat? I’ve been doing Broadway all wrong for 30 years. | |

| I don’t understand why the hostility towards those expressing disappointment, however hyperbolic, with the tickets being offered to LCT members. Lincoln Center makes it seem like it’s a gift for us members to be offered mostly lousy seats at member prices. It’s not. | |

| Do you really not understand hostility to hyperbole? Should you choose to answer that, I'll ask a bonus question: can you point to where in the communications you have received from LCT they "make it seem like it's a gift"? As I asked the other person, what is it that you would have them do in this situation? I'm all for better management but I think complaints are most effective when they can be tethered to some reality. |

| How do they act like it's a gift? I think seats offered at the Lincoln Center theaters are pretty good (and often get better close to the performance). | |

| Yes, but the seats offered have not been good for THIS production. Perhaps, as you suggest, seat selection will be better closer to performance date, but I guess I’m still clinging to the obsolete model I grew up with where the further in advance tickets were purchased, the better the seats were. | |

| Seats get better because members cancel or exchange their tickets shortly before they're supposed to go. Same thing happens with the Public, who also has members, not subscribers. That's a perk to me. I don't know if there's an exception to this policy for Ohio State Murders, since it's not their theater. I don't think the model you describe has been valid for a few years (in general), at least not in my experience - maybe since premium sales started. When did you grow up, anyway :) (just kidding - authentic smiley there) |

Then I'm guessing you grew up before premium seating was a thing. I'm not surprised that the best seats are being held back for the big spenders rather those who have plunked down $50 members. And yeah, It's a bummer. But "animals are treated better"? LOL. This kid's goat might disagree. |
