| The variety and quality of the New York Theatre scene still seems pretty vital, especially given the vicissitudes of the past three years. But like you I really miss the excitement that came with that weighty Section 2 every Sunday. The fact that it was Section 2 gives a sense of how important arts coverage was in the most influential cultural capital in the English-speaking world (don't yell at me, London). I've said it before but thinking of those two-page spreads gives me something akin the electric thrill I once enjoyed as a boy. |
