Tonight, at the second night of the Creative Arts Emmys (the more specialized awards that don't air on the main broadcast), Nathan Lane won the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his excellent performance in Only Murders in the Building. I believe this is his seventh Emmy nomination as a Guest Actor (and his first win!) He's previously picked up a couple of Daytime Emmys.
No spoilers (I haven't finished the second season), but if you haven't already, you really should check out this show. How often does one get a ridiculously entertaining mystery comedy? Let alone one chock full of theatre performers and the occasional, delicious theatre reference -- often from Martin Short's character -- a former Broadway theatre director. |
