I loved that Love’s Labor Lost at the Delacorte. Shakespeare’s original is such a dense, self-consciously literate piece that I applaud its being fixed. And this version was a delight, staged with comic abandon, and with the Don Armado being so endearing that his entire subplot rivalled the charm of the celibate boys’ storyline.
Really good. I think Brantley’s review killed it. Which was a crime.
Excellent cast, with Daniel Breaker as, I think, the Berowne.
