That's what I see here as well.

Lawsuits of this kind rarely go to trial and when they do it usually ends up being unhappy for both sides. As was the case with the Hamilton thing, a lesson has been learned and on a higher profile than would otherwise have been the case. Ironically, the initial resistance to compliance provided the plaintiff with a valuable teaching opportunity. Will it prevent all future infringements? No. There are still a lot of ignorant people around.
