Benjamin Walker's always impressed me, whether he was playing the title role in ''Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson''; Brick in Tennessee Williams' ''Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,'' or Patrick Bateman in Duncan Sheik's musical of ''American Psycho.'' Walker did such a killer job in ''Psycho'' and was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical by the Outer Critics Circle and the Drama Desk. He also should've been nominated for a Tony, but that 2015-16 season (of ''Hamilton'') was a particularly competitive one. A few seasons later, Walker landed his first Tony nomination: for Featured Actor in ''All My Sons,'' co-starring Annette Bening and Tracy Letts. Plus, that Arthur Miller revival earned him the Outer Critics prize for Best Featured Actor in a Play.

I hope his new role of Gil-galad in Amazon's ''The Rings of Power'' brings him more celebrity, and later brings him back to Broadway.

Besides displaying his dramatic and musical chops, Walker also has done standup comedy and his ''Find the Funny'' show around NYC.
