Yes, a lot of us noticed as early as April of 1964 when we got the brand new OCR.

The big question was why people who "needed" anything, as opposed to "having" it, could possibly be even lucky, let alone the luckiest people in the world.

"Funny Girl" is loaded with weird lyrics, but it's a masterpiece compared to Merrill's later, truly awful, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Henry, Sweet Henry," "Prettybelle" and "Sugar." I like his first three shows well enough, but when this guy jumped a shark, he didn't fool around.
