When I saw Shrek--The Musical (which I liked but didn't love) in 2009, I remember thinking to myself, "Even if I'm the only person sitting in this whole theatre during the curtain call, I'm not giving a standing ovation to this show.". As you might guess, that's just about what happened (it was a high-powered, audience-friendly show, if not a great one)!
