I saw a performance of their summer season at The Joyce this year. I'd say that the company is trying to find itself after the death of its founder. At The Joyce they performed a number of Taylor's more experimental early works as well as some premieres by guest choreographers and I found them exciting. A friend who has seen many of the company's seasons was disappointed in the dancers, not that they weren't talented but that they weren't well matched to Taylor's choreography.

The program at Lincoln Center is going to be more of Taylor's greatest hits. If you haven't seen "Company B", set to the Andrews Sisters, I would definitely recommend it as it's Paul Taylor at his most athletic, exuberant and entertaining.
