Here's a portion of an opinion piece in the NYT by a BLACK writer, John McWhorter.
That is McWhorter's schtick. He says publicly as a black writer what a lot of white people think privately.
I have plenty of problems with the excesses of left jargon but I find the NYT's fascination with this star of the pro racial-profiling think tank The Manhattan Institute to be creepy. Perhaps creepy isn't the word... more like inevitable. McWhorter is useful and will be more so as the Democratic Party works to silence its left flank with or without electoral losses. |
