Thanks for sharing, Lapsedfan. I didn’t really start paying major attention to Streisand until the mid-1990s when she came back to live performing with her concert tour, whose closing night in Anaheim was filmed for HBO. I was so enamored by the fifty-something Streisand’s voice, interpretive gifts, and presence that I began digging into her back catalog — only to be newly and repeatedly wowed by her performances from the 60s and 70s (and 80s, for good measure). A once-in-a-lifetime talent.
