| The "Angels in America" reference is likely, but I saw it more as a call back to the winged death figure (which it closely resembled) from the second season of AHS: "Asylum," particularly as Ryan Murphy does like crossovers in his AHS seasons. Of course, in season two the character was played by Frances Conroy; this time round it was credited to Hannah Jane McMurray, although the face was mostly obscured, so anything's possible. |
