My pleasure, Alan!
That’s hilarious about Mitzi Green.
I forgot two: George McManus’s huge hit was “Bringing Up Father,” which debuted in 1913 and was on Broadway in 1925, and spawned a bunch of sequels BUF IN IRELAND, BUF IN FLORIDA, BUF AT THE SEASHORE, etc. that never got to NYC.
McManus had another show on Broadway in 1912 called LET GEORGE DO IT! but I’m not sure what that’s based on besides “his drawings.”
Laura in LA, who really should be doing her own work…. |
