Your points are well taken but they do not address my problem with the basic logic here. (And I want to just state that I am 4-times vaxed and have no sympathy for Ms Osnes) Two points have been made: 1. The vaccination does not prevent transmission. It only prevents you from getting very sick and dying once you get the virus. 2. By not getting vaxed, Osnes was putting others in danger. These points are contradictory, are they not? Point 1 means that the vaccine is only helping yourself, not others. If the vaccine doesn't prevent transmission, then someone who has the virus would no more spread it to others unvaccinated than vaccinated. |
