I think it’s fair to say the piece won’t have commercial appeal beyond this run based on the reviews - but why should the artists change their piece so entirely to appease one man’s opinion? I was rather confused by the review. I don’t see how the dance and the story it tells can be compelling only if the words are removed. It seems like this particular reviewer has very specific parameters he feels a piece must abide by rather than taking in the piece as the artist created. Yes, the dance is essential to the piece. But why can’t the words and story be seen as a useful framework to deliver the choreography?
