| I think the way I read it, and an opinion shared by so many others who saw it, is that the book and lyrics dip into the inane, but the choreography and music are strong enough to merit exploring the show using just those two elements - make it a dance piece. Or...and this is just my opinion, bring in a great book writer and lyricist to create fully fleshed out characters and plot that is cause and effect. |
