On a cursory glance looking hurriedly at different dates before choosing my tickets, it appeared that there was more availability in March/April and the 1st week of May – all still with center section blocked off, as well as most of the more central locations in the 200/400 sections – but with plenty of decent seats that weren't all the way off to the two sides.
However, looking at a few dates beginning the week of May 10th, by 10:15AM nearly all of the 200/300/400 sections already seemed off limits. Since that's right after the Tony nominations are traditionally announced, I can only surmise they're holding back even more blocks from 2nd week of May through 2nd week of June, to primarily accommodate Tony Voters.
