| I seem to recall that PARADE also got caught up in Drabinksy's shenanigans with Livent (US). They were part of the producing team with LCT. The thought was they would be in charge of a transfer after the limited run ended at the Beaumont. With Livent (US) as the producer of FOSSE, I am not sure how wise that was because Garth probably would not have wanted to compete against himself. (Though David Merrick did from time to time, as did Joe Papp). However, as the Livent house of cards started to collapse and the 1998 bankruptcy filing, that left LCT without the additional funds to consider a commercial transfer -- and really no time to pull it together. |
