Yeah, I actually do think it was a bad fit for the Beaumont... I think a traditional proscenium would have suited Prince's direction better.
And I wish I'd seen Stephenson and/or Pittu. But I'd say without a moment's hesitation that Brent Carver was 100% better than T.R. Knight or Ben Platt (who I hope will get stronger and more nuanced as an actor in the role if the show goes to Broadway and gets a proper rehearsal period)... those 3 are the only top tier professional production Leos i've seen. |
