It's a great number, but it was also being done at the same time on Broadway over in the theater where CHICAGO was playing. They couldn't do something from REDHEAD or NEW GIRL IN TOWN instead? REDHEAD was Fosse's big break as a director (besides his previous work as choreographer) and considered one of his most danced-filled book shows. It was something of a missed opportunity to see some of this choreography, as one could have purchased a ticket to CHICAGO and seen the "Hot Honey Rag" at the time of FOSSE. |
