| Bravo to Playbill for abandoning a platform that allows unapproved thoughts! And at such cost to themselves! The nobility runneth over. Too bad they published Playbills for Mike Tyson's show. I bet they were unaware that he was a convicted rapist. Or does virtue not always need to be signaled? I wish all theater-related commercial enterprises would remove their products from Amazon. Mein Kampf is available for sale there 24/7. I'm not on Twitter. I only use Facebook, and just barely. I don't actually care who is or isn't on Twitter. But the hypocritical bull that is maintaining a presence in a genre that historically champions free speech while simultaneously supporting the curating of what information or opinions should be available is absurd and self-damning. And everyone, including you, is aware of that. The whole point of actually supporting free speech is so that the controversial, offensive and fringe isn't stifled. Free speech isn't there to protect the ability to say "hello." Time was you just avoided that which you didn't like. Nowadays the mentally weak just can't tolerate someone else tolerating something that offends them. Karen Syndrome by Proxy. Free Speech pronouns at Playbill are now Was/Were. |
