The original production of Desire Under the Elms opened on November 11, 1924. Coincidence or not that "What is Desire Under the Elms?" was the correct reply to a clue tonight? I know these are taped well in advance, but I think they generally know when the episode being shot will be shown.
And if you know the Broadway operetta Magdalena, it was a help in getting the correct reply to another clue. None of the contestants tonight was able to get that one in the category Carats. Nothing there, however, about 40 Carats. :) |
