I should think it would be easier nowadays, because of computer- generated sheet music, to change the key to suit at the singer.
I’m thinking a baritone Jean Valjean might be more pleasant and robust to listen to, and might have been easier for Hugh Jackman to sing.
It’s always better for the sound of a singer, to modify the key to suit. |
