| I saw the play, and I think a fair number of folks here saw the play. Marylouise Burke was indeed wonderful, as others have said, and so John Gallagher, Jr. I liked but did not love the play, but it already sort of seemed like a musical without songs. Which is why I still sort of wonder how much songs can add to it. But I suppose if the original author wanted to do it, it has probably come out just fine, which clearly many people feel. |
