Perhaps we need a better term than “tourist,” or a more specific phrase. I am a tourist, but I am in no way the boorish ill-behaved patron implied in this case. I am not fortunate enough to be NY-based, but I am fortunate enough to be able to pay full price to get the seats I want when they go on sale, fly to NYC once or twice a year, spend the weekend, and squeeze in as many shows as possible…all while behaving entirely appropriately.
That having been said, I am probably not seeing the “tourist” shows, LOL! Well, sometimes…. |
