Seeing the slew of jukebox and movie to stage musical appearing over the last decade shows I'm actually right.
I'm sorry, but Kpop is a money grab, not art, no matter who is linked to it. It's the same with Some Like It Hot. They were made solely to make money. Neither were calling out for musicalization. All those "men dress as women and hilarity ensues" movies suddenly show up on Bway because producers decided they would make money; not artists thinking they could be improved musically.
And yes, tourists eat them up and pay top price because that's what they've come to expect of Bway. |
