| I saw the original production at Steppenwolf in Oct., 2018. It's not too complex for Broadway. However, it's a very dark play with disturbing subject matter. I don't think there would be much commercial appeal unless you get Hugh Jackman to play one of the sex offenders and a good looking young actor like Derek Klena to play Andy (a victim). Of course, it would never happen, and I can not imagine either actor being willing to do it. However, I can think of two Broadway actors who could turn this play into a smash hit that would run for over a year. Just saying. |
