Michael Feingold will be best remembered as the Village Voice's esteemed theater critic. And he was chairman of the Obie Award .
But he also was a playwright/translator, earning 2 Tony Award nominations for his book and lyrics to Brecht and Weill's ''Happy End'' (1977).
(I once exchanged emails with Michael, after I posted on this board about Anna May Wong. Turns out he was a great admirer of her movies, too.) |
