| I remember when they were de rigueur but I don't seem to see them too often anymore. | |

| In my experience, they're still around, but there's a greater assortment of show garments than there used to be: Polar Fleece vests and pullovers, hoodies, shoulder bags/tote bags/backpacks, scarves, fleece blankets, etc. And many of the alternatives are less visible than the large-logo show jackets, so you may not even spot them in a crowd. | |

| I've seen quite a few backpacks recently. Similar to the jackets they're exclusively for company purchase. | |

| It's funny you say this. Just recently I saw someone wearing a Girl From the North Country show jacket up in Hamilton Heights. And I thought the same thing - I haven't seen a show jacket in ages. | |

| Does it speak to a less tribal mindset among theatre performers? (Or at least Broadway performers?) Are we less clannish now then 20 or more years ago? When did show jackets become a thing? It feels like a 1970's fashion. I don't recall seeing anyone in old photos wearing "Fiddler" or "My Fair Lady" jackets. Was it linked to the introduction of the trademarked Broadway logo? Where you knew the show from an image more than a title? | |

| I had a Dracula show jacket, and that was 1977. There were also A Chorus Line show jacket. So it was definitely a "thing" before the 90s. | |

| My neighbor wears her "Sweeney Todd" jacket from the original Broadway production all the time (she was in the ensemble). | |
