| I’m loving the new cast recording. Lea Michele is thrilling especially in the Finale. Anyone else enjoying? Hope it’s remembered for the next Grammys. |

| Are they using that horrible cut down orchestration on the recording? Or have they reverted to the original orchestrations or built it up a bit? Obviously the recording engineers can get better sound quality than the sound engineers in the theater. Marlo Manners (Lady Barrington) |

| I read somewhere that they augmented the orchestra for the recording but I don’t know if that is true. | |

| It's augmented, yet has a similar sound to the music coming from the pit at the August Wilson, which I've heard twice. I find the overture tells the tale: it's both homage to the original and yet slightly thinner, with a metallic edge on some of the melodic lines. More instruments didn't correct that. On several of the numbers, the tempi seem accelerated, also noticed by someone on Twitter as well. But it certainly showcases the finally decided-upon leading lady, as the parade this morning highlighted. This is now the production they intended, and it's the crowd-pleasing hit Broadway celebrates. I don't know anyone who has seen Michel who's disappointed, and the album makes the case. | |

| I’m loving it. I saw the show 2 weeks ago and the cast recording is just reminding me of how good the show is. The cast recording sounds just like it was in the theatre. So happy they included all the tap dancing and dream music. Nice job! | |
