| I read the email about the benefit with the $1500 and $2500 tickets and rolled my eyes. Many people on broadway world.com commented on it. In short, it seems to be the same version as Menier presented, albeit with a stronger, starrier cast. All reports were positive. There was some mention of Furth's book not being as strong as Sondheim's score, but I don't think there's ever been a question about that. |

| I will only see this as a devotee... The Menier production directed by Maria Friedman was one of the worst major professional Sondheim productions I've sat through, maybe even the worst (the Roundabout Follies was much better, and I'm struggling to think of one I was more let down by... oh, Doyle's Pacific Overtures!), let alone of Merrily... and I continue to be baffled by the praise for it. I am hoping this cast makes it better than the Menier cast did. Many very talented actors were in it and nonetheless were not good and didn't raise the bar of the terribly directed production of a bad version of the show. |

| That also looks like the same set and costumes as the Menier production’s. | |

| Its always been the Menier production being re-staged in NYC. I wonder if they give a credit in the program. | |

| They do give credit in the program! I was there last night. It's the exact same production. Radcliffe seemed a little nervous at the beginning, but relaxed through the evening. I liked his performance very much. Groff was FANTASTIC, especially in the scene outside the courthouse, and Mendez sang the hell out of it. She sounded GREAT. Overall really enjoyed it. They're using two kabuki drop effects in the show, the first one a double drop with a red curtain, it drops down, and then it drops again and gets cleared from the stage. The first drop didn't work, half the curtain was stuck, which made the second drop unable to function. They had to stop the show for about ten minutes while someone got a ladder and fixed the issue, and they rewound it and started from the top of the scene. Love live theatre. |

| I’ve only seen the film of the Menier production which was godawful. I do hope the three leads at NYTW are better. |
