| The return of an in-person annual meeting of the American Theatre Critics Association, held over Veterans Day weekend in New York. The organizers were able to attract terrific speakers and panels, and the tour of the historic Hudson Theatre was eye-opening. And, there was enough free time to allow seeing Broadway and off-Broadway shows (I threw in an opera to boot). Bill, back in San Diego |

| It's a shame the Kinky Boots revival didn't last longer. | |

| Francis was exceptional. The only Lola whom I preferred was J. Harrison Ghee. Christian Douglas was also wonderful. It makes me sad that it couldn't find an audience because, while it came along comparatively soon on the heels of the Broadway production's closing, its message and queer positivity seems incredibly necessary right now. While I had more of a mixed experience at MJ than you did, its choreography and dancers are really, really terrific. |

| I thought Ghee was wasted. and Borle too. Way too much dancing and what was once a genuinely funny plot is lost in all that woke-ness. LOVED Kevin Del Aquila, tho. I predict he's gonna win the Tony. | |
