Francis was exceptional. The only Lola whom I preferred was J. Harrison Ghee. Christian Douglas was also wonderful. It makes me sad that it couldn't find an audience because, while it came along comparatively soon on the heels of the Broadway production's closing, its message and queer positivity seems incredibly necessary right now.
While I had more of a mixed experience at MJ than you did, its choreography and dancers are really, really terrific. |
