Yes, to all of that! Not to mention how beautifully she sang the role. She managed to imbue a touch of her modern singer-songwriter tonality while staying true to the character. Her 'Moment in the Woods' received a long and enthusiastic ovation the night I saw Woods... almost stopped the show.
I don't recall thinking that she and BDJ lacked chemistry but I also have no frame of reference having not seen the pre-transfer Encores presentation. |
